108Use the CICM Directory

3Use the down navigation key to move to the end of the list.

4Select the item for the action you want to perform.

5Press Ok.

To add an entry, "Adding an entry to the directory" (page 108).

To edit an entry, "Editing a directory entry" (page 109).

To delete an entry, "Deleting a directory entry" (page 109).

To dial an entry, "Making a call using the Directory" (page 110).

Adding an entry to the directory

Follow this procedure to add an entry to the directory. The directory stores a maximum of 16 entries for the Nortel IP Phone WLAN Handset 2210 Series and WLAN Handset 6100 Series wireless handsets. If your entry requires symbols not represented by numbers 0 to 9, use the * and # keys.

If you are unsure how to enter text using the dialpad, see "Enter text using the dialpad" (page 105) before you start this procedure.

Prerequisites

The Directory screen must be displayed. To display the screen, see "Navigating the directory" (page 107).

Procedure Steps

Step Action

1From the Directory menu, select New Entry.

2Press Ok.

The New Entry screen appears.

3From the New Entry screen, select Number.

4Use the dialpad to enter the number.

5Press Ok.

6From the New Entry screen, select Surname Name, enter the surname (last) name, and press Ok.

7From the New Entry screen, select First Name, enter the first name, and press Ok.
