2. Press {1} to select “1=Phone book”.

3. Press {v} or {e} repeatedly to display the

desired item.

4. Press {CALL} (soft key).

LThe unit will start dialing automatically.

LIf required, repeat steps 1 to 4 for any

remaining numbers.

Note:

LIf you have rotary or pulse service, you need

to press {*} before pressing {MENU} in

step 1 to change the dialing mode

temporarily to tone.

LTo prevent misdialing, we recommend you

add pauses where needed when storing

numbers. For example, add pauses after a

telephone number when storing in the phone

book (page 39) if a PIN number is to be dialed

after it.

3.5.2 With the base unit

1Press {>}.

2Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the

desired item.

3Press {SP-PHONE}.

LAn available line is automatically selected

and {LINE1} or {LINE2} will light. To

change the line selection, see feature #37

on page 81 and feature 0*5 on page 90.

LYou can also select a line by pressing

{LINE1} or {LINE2}.

To search for a name by initial

Example: “LISA”

1. Press {>}.

2. Press {A} or {B} to initiate the phone book.

3. Press {5} repeatedly to display any name

with the initial “L” (see the character table,

page 32).

LTo search for symbols, press {1}.

4. Press {B} repeatedly to display “LISA”.

LTo stop the search, press {STOP}.

LTo dial the displayed number, press {SP-

PHONE}. An available line is

automatically selected and {LINE1} or

{LINE2} will light. To change the line

selection, see feature #37 on page 81 and

feature 0*5 on page 90.

You can also select a line by pressing

{LINE1} or {LINE2}.

1Press {MENU}, then {*}.

2Press {v} or {e} repeatedly to display the

desired item.

3Press {EDIT} (soft key).

5Press {v}.

LIf you do not need to edit the telephone

number, skip to step 7.

6Edit the telephone number. For further

7Press {v}.

8Press {SAVE} (soft key).

9Press {OFF}.
