3.7 Erasing a stored item

LKeep the front cover page open for button locations.

3.7.1 With the handset

Make sure the handset is not being used.

1Press {MENU}, then {*}.

2Press {v} or {e} repeatedly to display the desired item.

3Press {ERASE} (soft key).

4Press {YES} (soft key).

LTo cancel erasing, press {NO} (soft key). L To erase other items, repeat steps 2 to 4.

5Press {OFF}.

3.7.2 With the base unit

1Press {>}.

2Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired item.

3Press {MENU}.

4Press {#}.

LTo cancel erasing, press {STOP}.

5Press {SET}.

Another method to erase a stored item

1.Press {>}.

2.Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired item.

3.Press {ERASE}.

4.Press {SET}.

3.8Copying phone book items

You can copy one or all of the phone book items from the base unit to a handset or between two handsets. The destination unit will save the items in its phone book.

LKeep the front cover page open for button locations.

Important:

LMake sure the base unit, your handset and the destination handset are not being used when copying phone book items. Handsets must be operated near the base

unit and while OFF the charger.

LOnce copying has started, do not place your handset on the charger until it is complete, otherwise, copying will be

stopped.

LIf an outside call is received during phone book copy, copying will be stopped. You will need to copy the item(s) later.

3.8.1From a handset to another handset

Copying one phone book item

1Press {MENU}.

2Press {#}{1}.

3Enter the extension number of the destination handset ({1} to {4}).

4Press {NEXT} (soft key).

5Press {v} or {e} repeatedly to display the desired item.

L To search for the item by initial, see page 40.

6Press {SEND} (soft key).

LWhen the item has been copied,

Completewill be displayed and a beep will sound.

LThe destination handset display will show Phone book Receiving, then Phone book Received.

LTo copy another item, repeat steps 5 and 6.

7Press {OFF}.

Copying all the phone book items

1Press {MENU}.

2Press {#}{2}.
