5.6Event Setup

This menu allows the user to determine DVR-4TH/ 8TH/ 16TH series behavior in response to an alarm event. In the Main menu, move the cursor to <Event Setup> and press ENTER. The following menu is displayed.

5.6.1Internal Buzzer

This item allows user to enable / disable the DVR-4TH/ 8TH/ 16TH series internal buzzer. If set to <ON>, the buzzer is activated in response to an alarm. If set to <OFF>, the buzzer is not activated. The default setting is <ON>.

5.6.2Event Icon

This item enables (ON) / disables (OFF) the display of an Event Icon on the main monitor when an alarm event occurs. The default setting is <ON> (enable). The event types are represented by a character respectively; the descriptions are listed in the following table.

5.6.3Email Notice

The item enables (ON) / disables (OFF) the Email notification of an event. When an alarm event is triggered and <Email Notice> is enabled, an e-mail concerning the alarm event will be sent. The default setting is <OFF>.

NOTE: In order to send an event notification e-mail successfully, ensure that the unit connects to the Internet.
