Using the Document Server Function

Specifying file information

You can specify a user name, file name, and password for a stored scan data file.

According to the settings made, you can search for files by user name or file name and you can prevent unau- thorized persons from accessing the files.

Note

❒The file name can be up to 64 char- acters long. The user name can be up to 20 characters long. The first 16 characters are shown on the control panel. From a client com- puter with DeskTopBinder V2 Lite/Professional installed, you can view all the characters entered.

6A Display the File Information screen.

APress [Store File].

BPress [File Information].

B Specify file information.

APress [User Name].

Note

❒If no user name is pro- grammed on the Key Opera- tor Tools tab in System Settings, the User Name screen does not appear. In- stead, the Non-programmed Name screen appears. Enter the user name.

BSelect the user name.

Note

❒The user names shown here are names that were pro- grammed on the Key Opera- tor Tools tab in System Settings. To enter a name not shown here, press [Non-pro- grammed Name], and then en- ter the user name.

CPress [OK].

The File Information screen ap- pears.
