Configuring the AS-Interface safety monitor
4.3 Creating and changing a configuration
ASIMON V3 - Configuration software for AS-Interface safety monitor
122 Programming and Operating Manual, Edition 09/2008, GWA 4NEB 333 1558 02 DS 02
Description
After the first output circuit is switched off, the second output circuit is switched on after the
set delay time has elapsed. The delay time can be set between 1s and 300s in increments of
1s. Before the first output circuit is switched on, the second must be switched off.
If the validation, ON state, is performed again before the second output circuit is switched on,
the first output circuit is switched back on and the second remains switched off.
Unlocking device function
After the first output circuit is switched off (e.g. following an emergency shutdown), the second
output circuit is switched on after the set release time has passed (or by the zero-speed relays)
so that the doors unlock. This unlocking is not always desired. By enabling Unlocking device
(checkbox activated), a standard slave can be specified. The state (LOCK signal) of this stan-
dard slave determines whether or not the locking is to be retained even after the delay time
has passed. When the machine is switched off, the LOCK signal can thus be used to freely
turn door locking on and off.
Restart/Reset of error condition option for safe AS-Interface output (actuator)
If an AS-Interface safety monitor is configured with safe AS-Interface output (control of safe
AS-Interface actuators) in the Information about monitor and bus, devices for the reset of error
condition and the restart of the actuator must also be configured. After inserting the output de-
vice in the configuration, this is apparent from the 2 dummies for the restart and reset of error
condition devices.
Assign the dummies for restart and reset of error condition the desired devices by using
drag&drop to move devices from the icon library onto the dummies.
Note
After the AS-Interface safety monitor is switched on, the second output circuit is inactive for at
least the duration of the set release time.
Note
For an automatic restart, simply assign the restart dummy the TRUE system device.
