To create a bitmap-based inhibit panel area:

Step 1. Open a new image file in a drawing program; e.g., Microsoft Paint.

Step 2. In the Paint menu, select Properties.

Step 3. Under Units, click the unit of measurement you want to use for the width and height; e.g. inches.

Step 4. Type the measurements of the card in Width and Height; e.g., 3.370” by 2.125”. Step 5. Under Colors, select the Black and White radio button.

Step 6. Click the OK button.

Step 7. With the drawing tool, draw and fill with black the area on the card where you do not want transfer film to be placed; in the example below, the signature panel.

Step 8. Save the image file as a 1-bit monochrome bitmap; e.g., < filename >.bmp.
