Parity
– Defines the generation of a parity bit. Communication protocols provided
by some terminals can require a specific parity bit setting. Specify Even, Odd, or
None. (Default: None)
Speed – Sets the terminal line’s baud rate for transmit (to terminal ) and rec eive
(from terminal). Set the speed to matc h the baud rat e of the dev ice connected to
the serial port. (Range: 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, or 115200 ba ud, Auto ;
Default: Auto)
Stop Bits – Sets the number of the stop bits transmitted per byte.
(Range: 1-2; Default: 1 stop bit)
Password1 – Specifies a password for th e li ne con necti on. When a conn ection is
started on a line with password protection, the syste m prompt s for the p assword.
If you enter the correct password, the system shows a prompt . (Default: No
password)
Login1 – Enables password checking at login. You ca n s elect a uthent icat ion by a
single global password as configured for the Passwor d paramet er, or by
passwords set up for specific user-name accounts. (Default: Local)
Web
– Click System, Line, Console. Specify the console port connection parameters
as required, then click Apply.
