Command Usage
If enabled, the switch will serve as querier if elected. The querier is
responsible for asking hosts if they want to receive multicast traffic.
Example
Console(config)#ip igmp snooping querier

ip igmp snooping query-count
This command configures the query count. Use the
no
form to restore the default.
Syntax
ip igmp snooping query-count
count
no ip igmp snooping query-count
count - The maximum number of queries issued for which there has been
no response before the switch takes action to drop a client from the
multicast group. (Range: 2-10)

Command Usage
The query count defines how long the querier wa its for a respo nse from a
multicast client before taking action. I f a querier has sent a number of queries
defined by this command, but a c lient has not responded, a c ountdown ti mer
is started using the time defined by ip igmp snooping query-max-
response-time. If the countdown finishes, and th e client still has not
responded, then that client is considered to have left the m ulticast group.

The following shows how to configure the query count to 10:
