Displaying the DNS Cache
You can display entries in the DNS cache that have been learned via th e des igna te d
name servers.
Field Attributes
No – The entry number for each resource recor d.
Flag – The flag is always “4” indicat ing a cach e entry and th erefore unrel iable.
Type – This fi eld includes CNAME which specifies the canonical o r primary name
for the owner, and ALIAS which specifies multiple domain names which are
mapped to the same IP address as an existing entry.
Type – This field includes AD DRES S whi ch s peci fies t he hos t a ddres s fo r the
owner, and CNAME which specifies an alias.
IP – The IP address associate d wi th thi s r ecor d.
TTL – The time to live reported by the name server.
Domain – The domain name assoc iated wit h this record.
