Displaying the Address Table
The Dynamic Address Table contains the MAC addresses learned by monitoring the
source address for traffic entering the switch. When the destination address fo r
inbound traffic is found in the database, the packets intended for that addres s are
forwarded directly to the associated port. Otherwise, the tra ffic is flood ed to a ll ports.
Command Attributes
Interface – Indicates a port or trunk.
MAC Address – Physical address associated wit h this interf ace.
VLAN – ID of configured VLAN (1-4093).
Address Table Sort Key
– You can sort the information displayed based on MA C
address, VLAN or interface (port or trunk).
Dynamic Address C ounts – The number of address es dyna mically lear ned.
