Command Usage
When creating a protocol-based VLAN, only assign inte rfaces via th is

(such as
vlan
on page 34-6), these interfaces will admit traffic of an y protoc o l
type into the associated VLAN.
When a frame enters a port that has been assig ned to a pro toco l VLAN, it is
processed in the following manner:
- If the frame is tagged, it will be processed according to the sta ndard rules
applied to tagged frames.
- If the frame is untagged and the protocol type matches, the fra me is
forwarded to the appropriate VLAN.
