This command adds a static entry in the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache.
Use the
no
form to remove an entry from the cache.

ip-address hardware-address

• hardware-address - Hardware address to map to a sp ecified IP addre ss.
(The format for this addre ss is xx-xx-xx -xx- xx-xx .)

• The maximum number of static entries allowed in the ARP cache is 128.
