Command Usage
First configure any excluded addresses, incl uding the add ress for th is switc h.
Then configure address pools for the network inter face s. You c an conf igure up t o
8 network address pools. You can also man ually bind an addr ess to a spe cific
client if required. However, any fixed addres ses must fa ll with in the ra nge of an
existing network address pool. You can configure up to 32 fixed host addresse s
(i.e., entering one address per pool).
• If the DHCP server is running, you must disable it and then reenable it to implement
any configuration changes. This can be done on the DHCP, Server, Gener al page.
Enabling the Server, Setting Excluded Addresses
Enable the DHCP Server and specify the IP addresse s that it sh ould not be
assigned to clients.
Command Attributes
DHCP Server – Enables or disables the DHCP ser ver on this switch.
(Default: Disabled)
Excluded Addresses – Spe cifies IP ad dresses that the DHC P s erver s hould not
assign to DHCP clients. You can specify a single address or an address range.
New
(Excluded Addresses) – New entries for excluded addresses can be specified
as a single address or an address range.
Note:
Be sure you exclude the address for this switch and other key network devices.
Web
– Click DHCP, Server, General. Enter a single address or an address range,
and click Add.
