switchport forbidden vlan

This command configures forbidden VLANs. Use the
no
form to remove the list of
forbidden VLANs.
Syntax
switchport forbidden vlan {add vlan-list | remove vlan-list}
no switchport forbidden vl an
• add vlan-list - List of VLAN identifie rs to a dd.
• remove vlan-list - List of VLAN identifiers to remove.
• vlan-list - Separ at e n onc on sec uti ve V LAN id entifiers with a comma and no
spaces; use a hyphen to designate a range of ID s. Do not ente r leading
zeros. (Range: 1-4093).
Default Setting
No VLANs are included in the forbidden list.

Command Usage
• This command prevents a VLAN f rom bei ng a utomati cally adde d to th e
specified interface via GVRP.
• If a VLAN has been added to the set of allow ed V LANs for an in terf ace, t hen
you cannot add it to the set of forbidden VLA Ns for that sa me inter face .
Example
The following example shows how to prevent port 1 from being added to VLAN 3:
Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/1
Console(config-if)#switchport forbidden vlan add 3
Console(config-if)#
