CHAPTER 10 TROUBLESHOOTING

24. The scanning lamp fails to turn on.

Cause	Step	Checks	Results	Action
Scanning lamp	1	Turn off the power switch, and	NO	Re-attach the lamp.
		disconnect the power plug. Is the
		lamp attached correctly?
Scanning lamp	2	Are the ends of the scanning lamp	YES	Replace the scanning
		black?		lamp.
DC controller	3	Replace the DC controller PCB. Is	YES	Replace the DC
PCB		the problem corrected?		controller PCB.
Composite			NO	Check the wiring
power supply				between the DC
PCB				controller PCB and the
				composite power supply
				PCB; if normal, replace
				the composite power
				supply PCB.

25. The lens fails to move.

Cause	Step	Checks	Results	Action
Change	1	Turn off the power switch, and	NO	Check the wiring
