B. Feeding Faults

1. Double feeding
Cause	Step	Checks	Results	Action
Separation pad	1	Is the separation pad deformed or	YES	Replace the separation
		worn?		pad.
Spring			NO	Push up the separation
				pad, and try replacing
				the spring.

2. Wrinkling

	Cause	Step	Checks	Results	Action
Pick-up		1	Turn off the power while copy	YES	Check the pick-up
assembly			paper is moving through the		assembly; check the
			feeding assembly. At the time, is		registration roller.
			wrinkling noted? Or, is the paper
			moving askew?
Copy paper		2	Try fresh paper. Is the problem	YES	The paper may be moist;
			corrected?		advise the user on the
					correct method of storing

		3	Is Canon-recommended paper	NO	Advise the user to use
			used?		recommended paper.

Fixing	pressure		within specification?
