IV. TROUBLESHOOTING MALFUNCTIONS

A. Troubleshooting Malfunctions

1.	E000

	Cause	Step		Checks	Results	Action

J47		1	Disconnect the connector (J4) of		NO	Re-connect it.
(relay			the fixing heater, and press the
connector to			power switch while holding down
thermistor)			the service mode switch. (This
			clears E000; about 2 sec later,
			the power switch turns off
			automatically. Is the connection of
			J47 (4-pin connector near the rear
			side plate fixing assembly)
			connected properly?

Thermistor		2	Let the fixing assembly cool		NO	Replace the fixing upper
			sufficiently, and disconnect J47. Is			unit.
			the resistance between J47-1 and
			-2 on the thermistor side about
			1.4 M	and resistance between
			J47-3 and -4 about 3.7 M ?

Heater		3	Is electrical continuity present		NO	Replace the fixing upper
			between J4-1 and -2?			unit.

Thermistor		4	Replace the upper fixing unit. Is		YES	End.
			the problem corrected?

Fixing heater		5	Replace the fixing heater driver		YES	End.
