Eight-Port Circuit Emulation Service Modules
cond_signalling is the string of condition signaling bits that you specify with a decimal number in
the range 015, where, for example, 15=1111, and 0= 0000 . Th es e b i ts r ep r esen t th e A B CD
signalling to the line or network when an underflow occurs.
mastership indicates whether this end - poi nt is the master or slave; 1=master ; 2= s lave (de fau lt ) .
remoteConnId is the identification for the connection at the sl ave en d . Th e fo r mat is
switchname.slot_number.port_number.vpi.vci.
Step 2 Optionally, you can use cnfcon to modify an individual connection. This command requ ires a ch an n el
number. If you add a connection by usin g addcon, you do not need to specify a channel number because
the system automatically uses t he n ext availab le n umb er. To obtain th e c han n el nu mb er f o r cnf con,
execute dspcons.
cnfcon <port_num> <CDVT> <CLIP> <bufsize> <cbrclkmode> <isenable> <exttrigis>
port_num is the port number.
CDVT is a tolerable variation for th e ar rival t ime of cells. For T1, the range i s 1 25 24000
microseconds. For E1, the range is 12526000 microseconds. Both require 125-microsecond
increments.
CLIP is CellLossIntegrationPe riod, an amount of time a conn ec tio n ca n be in an error condition
before an alarm is declared. The range is 1000-65535 milliseconds.
bufsize is the egress buffer size in bytes. These buffers are used for tolerating variations in the cell
delay. The size can be automatically c om pu te d, or y o u can en te r a sp ec ific size in bytes.
cbrclkmode is the clock mode for a circuit emulation connection. The values are 13:1 is
synchronous; 2 is SRT. 3 is adaptive; SRT and adaptive are asynchronous clocking schemes.
isenable is a flag to enable the idle code (ABCD sign all in g b it s)based cell suppression feature on
a connection. If you enable this feat ure, id le supp ressio n logi c is acti v ated so that su ppressi on begi ns
when valid idle ABCD bits a re d e te cte d. This feature is valid for on ly single DS0 connections .
Possible values are 1 to enable an d 2 to d isab le .
exttrigis is an enable for an exte rn al id le s u ppr es si on t ri gg er. With thi s f eat u re en ab led , the logic
forcefully suppresses cells on a single DS0 connection. Enter a 1 to disable idle suppression or a 2
to enable idle suppressi on .
Step 3 Optionally, you can configure connection parameters for the network segment of a three-segment
connection:
cnfswparms <chan_num> <mastership> <vpcflag> <conn_service_type> (=c os)
<route_priority> <max_cost> <restrict_trunk_type> <pcr> <mcr> <pct_util>
chan_number is the connection in the range 32279.
mastership specifies the current end-po in t a s m a s ter o r slave; 1= m ast er ; 2 =s l ave ( de fault .
vpcflag indicates whether the connection is a VPC or a VCC: 1=VPC; and 2=VCC.
conn_service_type selects the type of service for the connection: 1= cbr; 2=vb r; 3 is no t us ed; 4 =ubr;
5=atfr; 6=abrstd; and 7=abrfst.
route_priority is the priority of the connection for rerouting. The range is 115 and is meaningful
only in relation to the priority of other connections.
max_cost is a number establishing the maximum cost of the connection route. The range is 1255
and is meaningful only in relation to the cost of other connections.
restrict_trunk_type is a number that specifies the type of trunk this conn ect io n ca n traverse. The
numbers are 1 for no re str ic tion, 2 for terrestrial t run k only, and 3 for satellite tru n k on ly.
pcr is the peak cell rate.
