Pattern Test Options
The pattern test options cons i st o f t he device to loop and the pattern. T hi s sec t ion li st s the d e v ice optio ns
and patterns that appear in th e menus. Refer to the precedi ng tables as needed. The device to loop options
identify the type of device th at pa rticipates in the test:
•noLatch is a device that does not latch the data. It can be:
– Nonlatching office channel unit (OCU) that consists of one device
– Nonlatching OCU that consists of a chain of devices
– Nonlatching channel service unit (CSU)
– Nonlatching data service unit (DSU)
•Latch is a device that can latch the data an d ca n be :
– Latching DS0-DP drop device
– Latching DS0-DP line device
– Latching office channel unit (OCU)
– Latching channel service u n it (C S U )
– Latching data service unit (DSU)
– Latching HL96 device
•in-band/ESF
•v54 is a polynomial loopback
•metallic is a local loopback w it hi n th e se rv i ce m odule and does not involve an external d evice
The available patterns are:
1. All 0s
2. All 1s
3. Alternating 1-0 pattern
