Step 5 Insert and secure the stripped ends of the 10 AWG wire in the wiring block as shown in Figure4-9 and
Figure4-10. Figure 4-10 shows the assembl y wi th an ex am ple wire and the screw that s ecu re s it in t he
pluggable wire block.
Step 6 Plug the pluggable terminal block to the receptacle TB1 on the PEM.
Step 7 If you have a redundant DC PEM install ed in you r MGX 8230, repeat step 1 thro ugh ste p 6 for the s econd
DC PEM.
Step 8 For each DC PEM, connect the DC input wiring to a separ at e dedi cat ed DC so urce capab le of su pplyi ng
at least 30 Amps (typical). The 48VDC power source in the building should have a 30 Amp DC circuit
breaker. The buildings wiring shou ld i nc lu d e an e as il y acc es sib l e d isc on ne ct devi ce. M ake s u re the
safety ground wire connects to a reliable building (earth) ground.
Warning
For personnel safety, the green or green/yellow wire must connect to safety (earth) ground at both
