Optical Drive Rail

Optical drive rail and cable kit	594219-001

The optical drive rail sits behind the USB ports on the front of the chassis.

1.Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for Disassembly on page 210).

2.Remove the computer access panel (Access Panel on page 211).

3.Remove the optical drive (Removing the Optical Drive on page 220).

4.Remove the hard drive (Hard Drive on page 223).

5.Remove the two Torx screws that secure the rail to the chassis (1), lift the tab (2) on the rail, slide the rail toward the rear of the unit (3), and then pull the rail up and out of the chassis.

To install the optical drive rail, reverse the removal procedures.
