5 E-mail

Overview

The MFP offers color-scanning and digital-sending capabilities. By using the control panel, you can scan black-and-white or color documents and send them to an e-mail address as an e-mail attachment. To use digital sending, the MFP must be connected to a local area network (LAN).

The MFP connects directly to your LAN (see the HP LaserJet 9040mfp/9050mfp Getting Started Guide for more information about connecting to a LAN)

Note

The MFP cannot copy or print in color, but it can scan and send color images.
