Step 1240-1

1.Ensure that the diagnostics and the operating system are shut down.

2.Power off the system.

3.Remove and reinstall any installed memory modules.

4.Power on the system.

Does the system stop with a memory checkpoint displayed on the operator panel?

NO

Reseating the memory modules has corrected the problem. Go to "MAP

 

0410: Repair Checkout " in Diagnostics Information for Multiple Bus

 

Systems.

YES

If there is only one memory module installed, go to “Step 1240-3” on

 

page 2-11.

 

If there is more than one memory module installed, go to “Step 1240-2.”

Step 1240-2

1.Power off the system.

2.Remove all but one of the installed memory modules. Record the position of the memory modules removed so that when instructed to reinstall them, they can be installed in their original positions.

3.Power on the system.

Does the system stop with a memory checkpoint displayed on the operator panel?

NO

Repeat this step until all the memory modules are installed and tested.

 

If all the memory modules have been installed, reseating the memory

 

modules has corrected the problem.

 

Go to "MAP 0410: Repair Checkout

" in Diagnostics Information for

 

Multiple Bus Systems.

 

YES

Go to “Step 1240-3” on page 2-11.
