Making Phone Calls
Using Speed Dial
Each phone number stored in your Phonebook is assigned a Speed Dial number. You can use the Speed Dial number to quickly place a call.
1From the idle screen, enter the Speed Dial number assigned to the phone number you want to call, followed by #. The number’s Phonebook entry information will display.
2Press sto place the call.
3Press ror close the phone cover to end the call.
Using Turbo Dial
Turbo Dial allows you to call the numbers in your Phonebook associated with Speed Dial numbers 1 through 9 by pressing and holding the corresponding numeric key on the keypad.
Press and hold a number key (1 through 9).
NOTE: Turbo Dial cannot be accessed while the browser is active, nor while Keypad Lock or SIM Lock is active.
Making Calls Using Voice-Activated Dialing
If you have recorded a voice name for a phone number in your Phonebook (see “Voice Names” on page 38), you can use this feature to call the number.
USER TIP: If you have difficulty making phone calls using a voice name, try assigning a longer voice name to the number. For example, if the voice name “Joe” fails to place a call to Joe Smith’s number, try assigning the voice name “Joe Smith” to the number.
Cover Open
1From the idle screen, press and hold ton the top of your phone until the phone beeps and the Say Name Now screen appears, then release.
2Speaking into the microphone, say the voice name assigned to the phone number you want to call.
3Your phone will play the name back to you. The call will automatically be placed.
