Programming a Speed Dial

!Print the Telephone Directory before you begin programming. This provides a reference of the speed dial numbers already programmed.

See “Reports, Telephone Directory.”

Be sure to write the name for any Speed Dial numbers you program on the One Touch Sheet(s).

The One Touch Sheet(s) provide space for Speed Dial numbers 1 through 40 (Model 5750) or 1 through 80 (Model 5950). For higher Speed Dial numbers, program the number(s) and print the Telephone Directory. For more information, see “Reports, Telephone Directory.”

1Press Menu/Exit to enter the menu.

2Press to select Location Program, press Enter.

3The cursor will be at Speed Dial. Press Enter.

4Input the speed dial number you want to program, then press Enter.

One-Touch Speed Dial Numbers are spaces 01 to 40 (Model 5750) or 80 (Model 5950).

2-Digit Speed Dial Numbers are the remaining spaces up to 99.

3-Digit Speed Dial Numbers are spaces 100 to 140 (Model 5750) or 230 (Model 5950).

5Input the telephone number (LOC #), press Enter.

6Input a name if desired (up to 15 characters), press Enter.

7Input alternate telephone number (ALT#) if desired, press Enter.

8Select Communication Speed, press Enter.

9Select On or Off for Echo Protection, press Enter.

10Repeat the above process from Step 3 until you have finished programming.

11Press Menu/Exit to return the machine to standby mode.

12When finished with the programming of One-Touch keys, lift off the plastic cover. Use a pencil to write the name of the One-Touch key you have programmed.

!Print the Telephone Directory when you finish programming. This provides a reference of the speed dial numbers already programmed.
