Call Processor Modules

The CPX shelf supports two CP modules in an active/standby configuration, made up of two cards (Figure 2–6):

Call Processing card—contains a processor, plus volatile

and non-volatile RAM.

Hot Swap Controller (HSC) card—maintains each module’s status, controls power and each module’s reset, monitors and controls peripherals, including power/fan modules, board and system indicators/alarms.
