DATA REQUEST (demand line)

High active level from the printer to synchronize host computer data transmission with printer timing. High level indicates printer data request. The signal remains high for as much as 250 ns after DATA STROBE signal is received then the DATA REQUEST drops to low (false) and remains low until the data is stored in the printer’s buffer.
