Printing on Card Stock or Custom-
sized Materials
• Postcards, 3.5in. by 5.5in. (index) cards and other custom-
sized m ate rials can be p rinted with your pr inter. The
minimum size is 3.5in. by 5.5in. (90mm by 140mm) and the
maximum size is 8.5in. by 14in. (216mm by 356mm).
• Alwa ys in ser t the sh or t ed g e into th e Multi-purpose Tra y
first. If you want to print i n land scap e mode, make thi s
selection using your software. Inserting the long edge first
may ca u s e a pa pe r jam .
• Do not load more than 10 car ds into th e M u lti-pu r pose Tray
at a time.
• Do not p rint on mate rial smaller than 90mm (3.5in.) w ide or
140mm (5.5in.) long.
• In the softw are application, set ma rgins at least 4.3mm
away from th e ed g es o f the material.
To print on card stock:
1 Open the Multi-purpose Tray and unfold the paper support.
2 Load print ma t eria l in the Multi-pu rpose Tr ay only, with
the print side down and the short edge first
. Slide the
guide until it lightly to uches the stack without causing it to
bend.
3 Whe n yo u p rint, se t the p a p er so ur ce to Multi-Purpose
Tray
and select the appropriate size and type in the
software application.

If the size o f yo u r p rint material is not listed in the Size
box in the
Paper tab, click the Custom button an d set
the size manually.
NOTE : If you experience jams with card stock feeding, turn
the paper around and try ag ain.
