Installing Software for Network

Printing

When you connect y our printer to a network, you must first

configure the TCP/IP settings fo r the printer. After you hav e

assigned and verified the T CP / IP settings, you are read y to

install the software on each comp uter on the ne twork.

You can install the printer softw are using the typical or custo m

method.

Typical Installation

This is recommended for most users. All components necessary

for printer operations will be installed.

Make sure that the printer is connected to your network

and powered on. For details about connecting to the

network, see the supplied pr inter’s User’s G u ide.

Insert the supplied Printer software CD into your C D-ROM

drive.

The Printer software CD should automatically run, and an

installation window appears.

If the installation window d oes not ap pear, click

Start

and

then

Run

letter which represents your drive and click
