Pull the tr a y op e n . Afte r y o u pull it all the w ay out, lift up
the front par t o f the tray slightly to release the tray fr om
the printe r.

Rem ove the jammed paper by gently pulling it straight out
as shown below.

To replace the tray, lower the rear edge, align it with the
slo t , an d s lid e it int o the p rin t er.

After removing the jammed paper, check for paper which
may be jammed in other parts of the printer.

Close the access door firmly. The printer will resum e
printing.
CAUTION
:
If the access door is not completely closed, the
printer will not op e rate.

In the Multi-purpose Tray

When you prin t u sing th e M u lti-p ur po se Tray and th e p r inte r
detects that th e re is eith er n o paper o r the p a p er h as b ee n
improperly loaded, a lamp turns on at the corresponding
location on the Status map. If you use the CLP-600N, “Jam0 In
MP Tray” also appears on the display.

If the paper is not feeding properly, using the handle,
completely open the access door.

R emov e the jammed paper by pulling in the direction
shown. To avoid tearing the paper, pull it out gently and
slowly.
