Place the toner cartridge on a flat surface, as shown, and
remove the paper covering the toner cartridge by
removing the tape.
NOTE
:
If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry
cloth and w ash it in cold w a ter. Hot wate r sets to ne r into
fabric.

Make sure that the color of the toner cartridge matches
the color slot and then g rasp the han d les on the to n e r
cartridge. Insert the cartridge until it clicks into place.

Close the access door. Make sure that the door is securely
latched, and th e n turn the p rinte r on.
CAUTION
:
If the access door is not completely closed, the
printer will not operate.

Repl ac in g the Paper Tr a ns fer

Belt

The life of the paper transfer belt is approximately 35,000 black
and color pages. When the life span o f th e paper tr ansfer b elt
has expired
, the printer will stop printing until a new paper
transfer belt is placed into the printer.
The SmartPanel program window appears on the computer,
indicating th e pape r tran sfer belt nee ds to be r eplaced. A lso, if
you use the CLP-600N, the display on the control panel shows
the error message, “Replace Transfer Belt”. At this stage,
replace the paper transfer belt.
NOTE
:
The life span of the paper transfer belt May be affected
by op erating environment, prin ting inte r val, medi a ty p e, an d
media size.
To replace the paper transfer belt:

Turn the printer off , then wait a few minutes for the printer
to cool.

Using the handle, completely open the access door.
CAUTION
:
Do not touch the green surface, the OPC drum, on the front
of each toner cartridge with your hands or any other
material. Use the handle on each cartridge in order to avoid
touching this area.
If you leave th e acce ss do o r ope n fo r m o re th an a few
minutes, the OPC drum can be exposed to light. This will
cause damage to the OPC d rum. Close the access d oor
should the installation need to be halted for any reason.
