CAUTION
:
Do no t to uc h the g ree n su rfa ce, th e O P C d r um, on the fr o n t
of each toner cartridge with your hands or any other
material. Use the handle on each cartridge in order to avoid
touching this area.
Be careful not to scr atch the sur face of the p ap er transfer
belt.
If you lea ve the access door o pen fo r mo r e than a few
minutes, the OPC drum can be exposed to light. This will
cause damage to the OPC d rum. C lose the access door
should the installation need to be halted fo r any reaso n.

Close the access door firmly. The printer will resume
printing.
CAUTION
:
If the access door is not completely closed, the
printer will not operate.

Inside the Printer

If paper is jammed inside the printer, a lamp turns on at the
corresponding location on the Status map. If you use the CLP-
600N, “Jam Inside Printer” also appears on the display.

Using the handle, completely open the access door.

Open the top co v e r.

Push the levers up.

Open the inner cover using the handle on it and carefully
take th e j amm e d pape r ou t o f th e p r inte r.

Close the inner cover and push the levers down.
CAUTION
:
Do not touch the fuser inside the inner cover. It is hot and
could cause burns! The fuser’ s ope rating temperature is
180°C (356°F). Take care when removing paper from the
printer.
Do not touch the green surface, the OPC drum, on the front
of each toner cartridge with your hands or any other
material. Use the handle on each cartridge in order to avoid
touching this area.
Be careful not to scratch the su rface o f the p ap er transfe r
belt.
If you leave the access do o r op en fo r more th an a few
minutes, the OPC drum can be exposed to light. This will
cause damage to the OPC drum. Close the access door
should the insta llation ne e d to be halted for any reason.
