There are two ground connections in the GM47, AGND (analogue ground) and DGND (digital ground). Pin assignments are shown in the table above.

Note! AGND and DGND are connected at a star point inside the module. They must not be joined together in your application.

2.3.1 Analogue Ground - AGND

AGND is the return signal, or analogue audio reference, for ATMS (Audio To Mobile Station) and AFMS (Audio From Mobile Station).

2.3.2 Digital Ground - DGND

DGND is the reference or return signal for all system interface digital signals and is also the d.c. return for SERVICE and the power supply, VCC. Connect all DGND pins together in your application in order to carry the current drawn by the module.

2.4 VCC - Regulated Power Supply Input
