5.12 IGMP Snooping Commands

ip igmp snooping

Use the ip igmp snooping command to enable or disable IGMP snooping as implemented in the system.

ip igmp snooping no ip igmp snooping

SYNTAX DESCRIPTION:

The ip igmp snooping command has no argument.

DEFAULT VALUE:

The feature is disabled by default.

EXAMPLE:

 

!Enable igmp snooping Switch(config)# ip igmp snooping Switch(config)#

!Disable igmp snooping Switch(config)# no ip igmp snooping Switch(config)#

ip igmp snooping aging-time

Use this command to configure the router and host port aging time for an IGMP snooping operation.

ip igmp snooping aging-time {router host} <sec>

SYNTAX DESCRIPTION:

The router port aging time is integer value ranges from 60 to 600.

 

The host port aging time is integer value ranges from 130 to 1225.

DEFAULT VALUE:

The default value is 260 seconds for the host port, and 125 seconds for

 

the router port.
