Computer Communications with the PV100S

The PV100S provides multiple options for communicating system status or data logging through a personal computer using the Xantrex Solar Graphic User Interface (GUI) software.

The Xantrex Solar Graphic User Interface (GUI) software is a Windows™-based program that:

•displays system status,

•accesses inverter controls,

•accesses metering and data logging capabilities, and

•controls protective functions.

If multiple inverters are networked together, the software is capable of tracking up to 50 inverters on the same network.

Determine which method will be used to communicate with the PV100S and ensure the appropriate hardware is in place before proceeding with installing the GUI. See the “PC Connection Methods” section of the PV100S 100 kW Grid-tied Photovoltaic Inverter Planning and Installation Manual for instructions on establishing the desired connection if this has not already been done.
