The following sections describe the syntax of the command parameters and explain the parameter options.

MESSAGE ITEXT

(“Input text”) Specifies a text message to be sent to the operator during input processing.

Syntax MESSAGE ITEXT = {(sc [, passnum]) NONE WAIT}

Specifies that no text message is sent to the operator during input processing.

 

 

passnum

pass number

 

Specifies the pass (copy ply) to which the message text applies. The message

 

is sent to the operator just before processing of the indicated pass is begun. If

 

no pass number is specified, the indicated message is sent at the beginning of

 

the first pass.

 

 

sc

string constant

 

Specifies a text message (string constant) of up to 80 characters.

 

 

WAIT

Specifies that after the text is displayed, input is suspended until the operator

 

has initiated a Continue request.

 

NOTE: The FreeFlow Print Server LCDS systems do not support the ITEXT

 

WAIT parameter. It is ignored, and no error message is displayed.
