Printer Setup and Calibration

Before You Begin

1.Remove the ribbon (if ribbon is used).

2.Locate the upper media sensor. The upper media sensor eye is directly below the adjustment screw head.

See the illustration for a simplified view of the media sensor. Callouts in the illustration are explained in the table that follows.

Note • If you are using continuous media, position the upper media sensor over the labels so that the printer can detect an out-of-paper condition.

3.Slightly loosen the upper media sensor adjustment screw (use a Phillips-head screwdriver).

4.Using the tip of the screwdriver, slide the upper sensor along the slot to the desired position.

5.Tighten the adjustment screw to secure the upper media sensor.
