Rewind Mode and Peel-Off Mode use the rewind spindle. Label liner must be removed every time you change labels for the printer to work correctly.

!Important • It is not necessary to turn off the power to remove liner from the rewind spindle. If power is turned off, all label formats and images, as well as any temporarily saved parameter settings stored in the printer’s internal memory, are lost. When power is turned back on, these items must be reloaded.

To remove label liner from the rewind spindle, complete these steps:

Note • If the labels have not run out, you must cut the label liner at the spindle.

1.Unwind approximately 36 in. (915 mm) of liner from the rewind spindle. Cut it off at the spindle.

2.Pull out the hook. Slide the liner off of the rewind spindle and discard.

3.Wind the labels around the rewind spindle once or twice, then reinstall the hook.

4.Continue winding to remove any slack in the labels.

Fanfold labels feed through either the bottom or rear access slot from outside the printer. The media hanger or media supply spindle are not used with fanfold labels.
