The Symbols Tab

VARIABLES

You can specify symbols for variables using:

The address of the variable.

The address and the size of the variable.

The range of addresses occupied by the variable.

If you specify only the address of a variable, the size is assumed to be 1 byte.

Format

start [size]

 

var_name

start..end

 

var_name

A symbol representing the variable name.

start

The first address of the variable, in hexadecimal.

end

The last address of the variable, in hexadecimal.

size

(optional) The size of the variable, in bytes, in decimal.

SOURCE LINES

Use SOURCE LINES to associate addresses with lines in your source files.

Format

[SOURCE LINES] File: file_name line# address

file_name

The name of a file.

line#

The number of a line in the file, in decimal.

address

The address of the source line, in hexadecimal.
