ADD SNMPV3 USER
Syntax
add snmpv3 user=user [authentication=md5|sha]
authpassword=password privpassword=password
[storagetype=volatile|nonvolatile]
Parameters
user Specifies the name of an SNMPv3 user, up to 32
alphanumeric characters.
authentication Specifies the authentication protocol that is used to
authenticate this user with an SNMP entity (manager
or NMS). If you do not specify an authentication
protocol, this parameter is automatically set to
None. The options are:
md5 The MD5 authentication protocol. SNMPv3
Users are authenticated with the MD5
authentication protocol after a message is
received.
sha The SHA authentication protocol. Users are
authenticated with the SHA authentication
protocol after a message is received.
Note
You must specify the authentication protocol before you specify the
authentication password.
authpassword Specifies a password for the authentication
protocol, up to 32 alphanumeric characters. If you
specify an authentication protocol, then you must
configure an authentication protocol password.
privpassword Specifies a password for the 3DES privacy, or
encryption protocol, up to 32 alphanumeric
characters. This is an optional parameter.
Note: If you specify a privacy password, the privacy
protocol is set to DES. You must also specify an
authentication protocol and password.
storagetype Specifies the storage type of this table entry. This is
an optional parameter. The options are:
