ADD MGMTACL
Syntax
add mgmtacl ipddress=ipaddress mask=string
protocol=tcp interface=telnet|web|all
Parameters
ipaddress Specifies the IP address of a specific management
workstation or a subnet.
mask Specifies the mask used by the switch to filter the IP
address. A binary “1” indicates the switch should filter
on the corresponding bit of the address, while a “0”
indicates that it should not. If, in the IPADDRESS
parameter, you specified the IP address of a specific
management workstation, the appropriate mask is
255.255.255.255. If you are filtering on a subnet, then
the mask would depend on the subnet address. For
example, for a Class C subnet address of 149.11.11.32,
the mask would be 255.255.255.224.
protocol Specifies the protocol of the management packets.
The only permitted selection is TCP.
interface Specifies the type of remote management allowed.
The options are:
telnet Telnet management
web Web management
all Both Telnet and web management
Description
This command adds an access control entry to the Management ACL.
There can be up to 256 ACEs in the Management ACL.
An ACE is an implicit “permit” statement. A workstation that meets the
criteria of an ACE will be allowed to remotely manage the switch.
The IPADDRESS parameter specifies the IP address of a specific
management workstation or a subnet.
The MASK parameter indicates the parts of the IP address the switch
should filter on. A binary “1” indicates the switch should filter on the
corresponding bit of the address, while a “0” indicates that it should not.
