SET SNMPV3 COMMUNITY
Syntax
set snmpv3 community index=index
communityname=communityname
securityname=securityname
transporttag=transporttag
[storagetype=volatile|nonvolatile]
Parameters
index Specifies the name of this SNMPv3 Community Table
entry, up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
communityname Specifies a password of this community, up to 32
alphanumeric characters.
securityname Specifies the name of an SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 user,
up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
transporttag Specifies the transport tag, up to 32 alphanumeric
characters.
storagetype Specifies the storage type of this table entry. This is
an optional parameter. The options are:
volatile Does not allow you to save the table
entry to the configuration file on the
switch. This is the default.
nonvolatile Allows you to save the table entry to
the configuration file on the switch.
Description
This command modifies an SNMPv3 Community Table entry.
Examples
The following command modifies the community table entry with an
index of 1001. The community has a password of “secretpassword98”
and a security name of “user451.” The transport tag is set to
“sampletag4” and the storage type is set to nonvolatile storage.
set snmpv3 community index=1001
communityname=secretpassword98
securityname=user451 transporttag=sampletag4
storagetype=nonvolatile
