SET RSTP

Syntax

set rstp [default] [priority=priority] [hellotime=hellotime] [forwarddelay=forwarddelay] [maxage=maxage] [rstptypeforceversion=stpcompatible forcestpcompatiblenormalrstp]

Parameters

default

Returns all bridge and port RSTP settings to the

default values. This parameter cannot be used with

any other command parameter and only when RSTP is

disabled. (This parameter performs the same function

as the PURGE RSTP command.)

priority

Specifies the priority number for the bridge. This

number is used in determining the root bridge for

RSTP. The bridge with the lowest priority number is

selected as the root bridge. If two or more bridges

have the same priority value, the bridge with the

numerically lowest MAC address becomes the root

bridge. The range is 0 to 61,440 in increments of 4,096.

The range is divided into sixteen increments, as

shown in the following table. You specify the

increment that represents the desired bridge priority

value. The default value is 32,768, which is increment

8.
