SHOW INTERFACE

Syntax

show interface=port

Parameter

 

port

Specifies the port whose interface information you

 

want to display. You can specify more than one port at

 

a time. You can specify the ports individually (for

 

example, 5,7,22), as a range (for example, 18-23), or

 

both (for example, 1,5,14-22).

Description

 

This command displays the contents of the interface MIB for a port and provides the following information:

ifIndex - The port number.

ifMTU - The size, in octets, of the largest packet that can be transmitted on this port.

ifSpeed - An estimate of the port’s current bandwidth, in bits per second.

ifAdminStatus - The configured state of the port, one of the following:

up - The port is enabled.

down - The port has been manually disabled.

ifOperStatus - The current operational status of the port, one of the following:

up - A valid link exists between the port and the end node. down - The port and the end node have not established a link. unknown - The port status is unknown.
