SHOW AUTHENTICATION
Syntax
show authentication[=tacacs|radius]
Parameters
None.
Description
This command displays the following information about the
authenticated protocols on the switch:
Status - The status of the authenticated protocol: enabled or
disabled. The default is disabled.
Authentication Method - The authentication protocol activated
on the switch: TACACS+ or RADIUS. The default is the TACACS+
protocol.
The IP addresses of up to three authentication servers.
The server encryption keys, if defined.
TAC global secret - The global encryption code that applies to all
authentication servers.
Timeout - The length of the time, in seconds, before the switch
assumes the server will not respond.
Entering the command without specifying either TACACS or RADIUS
displays the current status of the authentication feature and the
specifics of the currently selected authentication protocol. Specifying
TACACS or RADIUS in the command displays the specifics for that
authentication protocol.
Example
The following command displays authentication protocol information
on your switch:
show authentication
The following command displays the information for the RADIUS
protocol:
show authentication=radius
