portpriority

Specifies the port’s priority. This parameter is used as a

 

 

tie breaker when two or more ports are determined to

 

 

have equal costs to the root bridge. The range is 0 to

 

 

240 in increments of 16. There are sixteen increments.

 

 

The increments are listed in Table 4. You specify the

 

 

increment of the desired value. The default is 128

 

 

(increment 8).

Description

This command configures the following STP parameter settings for a switch port:

Port cost

Port priority

Examples

The following command sets the port cost to 15 and the port priority to

192 (increment 12) for port 6:

set stp port=6 portcost=15 portpriority=12

This command sets the port cost to auto-detect on ports 7 to 10:

set stp port=7-10 portcost=auto
