Chapter 27: MSTP Commands
418
revisionlevel Specifies the revision level of an MSTP region. The
range is 0 (zero) to 255. This is an arbitrary number
that you assign to a region. The revision level must
be the same on all bridges in a region. Different
regions can have the same revision level without
conflict.
Description
This command configures the following MSTP parameter settings.
❑Hello time
❑Forwarding delay
❑Maximum age time
❑Maximum hop count
❑Force version of STP or normal MSTP
❑Configuration name
❑Revision level
Examples
The following command disables MSTP and returns all MSTP parameter
settings to their default values:
set mstp default
The following command sets the hop count to 10, the configuration
name to Engineering Region, and the reversion level to 2:
set mstp maxhops=10 configname=”Engineering
Region” revisionlevel=2
The following command uses the FORCEVERSION parameter to
configure the bridge to use the MSTP parameters but to transmit only
STP BPDU packets:
set mstp forceversion=forcestpcompatible
