Routine Maintenance

Your MultiPASS requires little routine maintenance. Follow these guidelines to keep your MultiPASS in good operating condition:

Before you clean the MultiPASS, be sure to print any faxes stored in memory.

Do not use tissue paper, paper towels, or similar materials for cleaning; they can stick to the components or generate static charges.

Be sure to disconnect the power cord before cleaning the unit.

Lightly wipe the unit’s exterior with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water or diluted dishwashing detergent solution.

Never use thinner, benzene, alcohol or any other organic solvent, as it may damage the surface of the MultiPASS.

Cleaning Inside the MultiPASS

To prevent ink spots and paper dust from accumulating inside the MultiPASS and affecting print quality, clean the unit’s print

area periodically. Follow these guidelines:

Never use volatile liquids such as thinners, benzene, acetone, or any other chemical cleaner to clean the interior of the MultiPASS, or you can damage its components.

Avoid touching the print head or ribbon cable inside the MultiPASS.
