/CP

Copy RS232 Port Parameters

Allows quick set-up when several RS232 ports will be configured with similar parameters. When the /CP command is invoked, the CMS-6R4 will display a menu that can be used to copy parameters to all or several RS232 ports. For more information, please refer to Section 5.5.3.2.

Availability: Supervisor Only

Format: /CP <x> [Enter]

Where:

xIs the number of the port(s) where the copied parameters will be applied. To apply the command to several ports, enter a comma between each port number. To apply the command to a range of ports, enter the numbers for the first and last ports in the range, separated by a dash character (-). To apply the command to all plugs allowed by your password, omit the port number argument.

Response: Displays Copy Parameters Menu.

/D

Third Party Disconnect

Invoke the /D command at your resident port to disconnect two other ports. Note that the /D command cannot disconnect your resident port.

Availability: Supervisor Only

Format: /D[,Y] <x> [x] [Enter]

Where:

 

,Y

(Optional) suppresses the "Sure?" prompt.

Is the number or name of the port(s) to be disconnected. To

 

apply the command to several plugs, enter a space character or

 

a plus sign (+) between each plug number. To apply the

 

command to a range of plugs, enter the numbers for the first

 

and last plugs in the range, separated by a colon character (:).

 

To apply the command to all plugs allowed by your password,

 

enter an asterisk character (*).

Response:

Verbose: "Sure (y/n)?", if Y, unit will respond with "Disconnected".

Terse: 5, if Y, unit will respond with 3.

Example: To disconnect Port 2 from Port 3 without the "Sure?" prompt, access the Command Mode from a third port with Supervisor Level command capability and type:

/D,Y 2 [Enter] or /D,Y 3 [Enter]
